- A great introduction for your youngsters inside the famous Spiegeltent -
All Stars Circus is presented as a show for families of all ages, which showcases a number of circus disciplines. From the creators of numerous shows including GODZ, which was well received at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, I had high hopes for a great show full of amazing circus tricks that would wow myself and my almost thirteen year old twin boys - who love anything showing off physical strength.
All Stars Circus is a non-stop demonstration of different circus acts which held the audience’s attention throughout. Hosted by Tom and Cal who both act as the equivalent of ringmasters and clowns keep the audience entertained between acts, whilst also part of the talent on display. With some audience participation, traditional slapstick, strength tricks, along with plenty of kids humour (and some adult jokes thrown in for good measure), the full Spiegeltent was ready to be wowed.
This is where location limitations and age expectations come into play. Young, primary school aged children will be excited to see the variety of skills on demonstration here; they will appreciate the comedy of fart jokes. However older children and teens might expect a slightly more complicated skills performance in sections, and the comedy might not have always been a hit for them, and unfortunately limited by stage safety and rigging within the tent; only so much can be achieved. Yet the fabulous talent from the team at Head First Acrobats can’t be denied; older generations will enjoy watching their youngsters faces light up with a selection of circus tricks & flips in front of their eyes. All Stars Circus is a great introduction for youngsters or primary school aged children to see live circus close-up and provide stellar entertainment for younger families.
